Shop open!

We will be opening our shop for 1 day on Friday 5th of September from 10am to 3pm.  Sorry no tea and cake this time but we welcome anyone who would just like to come and have a snoop round!  There will be some work available for sale too.

New shapes

With a couple of exhibitions starting later on in the year at YSP and the Devon Guild, we've been experimenting with new shapes and designs, here are a few of the new platter in progress.

Much fun and merriment at our Open Day.

What a fun weekend!  Thank you to everyone that came and ate, drank and purchased.  We were pretty much completely cleared out by the end, which is always a good sign (even if most of your visitors were friends and family!)  Hopefully we'll arrange something for Christmas.

Our work is now available to purchase through the Harley Gallery and Yorkshire Sculpture Park.

Open Studio

Our first ever open studio will be on the 19th and 20th of July.  We have accumulated so many cats and dogs along the way which just didn't make it to the galleries, because maybe an eye was a bit wobbly or the writing a bit smudged, we love them dearly but really can't keep them all.  That's why we have decided to have a big old clear out and sell these little babies on at a fraction of the retail price.  We're also offering tile painting for the kids and chucking a few cakes in for good measure.  We would very dearly love to see you all!

Sunshine and lollipops!

Finally a  shift in the weather, that little bit of warmth makes such a big difference in the Pottery, I might even take my gloves off to paint now.  This Turquoise beauty is one of the lumpy chaps from a few posts ago, I am so pleased with how they have turned out, they're a good size and have a nice presence in the pottery, almost a little bit Egyptian.  I called the originals Nelson Mandela and Ban ki- Moon, I'm not quite sure why as they have no relation to those people, I made them around the time of Nelson Mandela's death, and Ban ki-Moon is just a cool name!

A little blue boy the twin to my peppermint patty cat.  He reminds me of Stoofer, Harry Hills little rubber cat.

A little jug and a plate waiting for some Sgraffito decoration.  Remember you can follow us on our facebook page, twitter and pinterest.  Website coming soon.........

Pigeon Club Pottery

We've been busy at the Pigeon Club for the past couple of months, some big orders to fulfil and a few commissions on the go.  We've just sent some work off to Nantgarw China Works Museum to be included in their New Beginnings Exhibition, it runs until the 27th of April.

It's always good to get an expert to check over the pots every now and then.

I've started working on packaging ideas for the pots and cats, here are a few hand painted samples, I would very dearly love to paint all of my boxes, but unfortunately I just don't have the time! I think a very lovely rubber stamp would look rather nice.  Please look up and like our facebook page for more Pigeon Club news.
