Crafts at Bovey Tracey

I'm going to apply for this again but i'm running out of time! Bill must make the cd tonight or else. http://www.craftsatboveytracey.co.uk Its a lovely show, and if the weather is good its like a holiday! I'm hoping for a good baby so i'll be able to bring it along if i get accepted.

Hail Cesar!
Cesar Millan is going to be on the radio today, if you love dogs then you'll love Cesar, he is truly the greatest dog whisperer that ever lived, daddy is my hero!!!http://www.cesarsway.com Please can the dog whisperer come back to normal tv? I'm contemplating getting sky just so i can see his new series.
This is the amazing view from Alexandra Palace.
I liked this knitted boat with a lovely knitted kitty on it but i'm afraid to say it wasn't a patch on the knitted ginger bread house which is touring some far eastern country at the moment. There was some amazing stuff at the show my favourites were the graduates work and Alice Kettles show. I got some lovely presents from the Eternal Maker stand and from the Cloth Kits stand too.
Hurrah we made it! It was quite an intense show, full on four days of knitting and stitching maniacs everywhere! I'm pleased to report that the small babe was very good and i only had to put up with swollen ankles for a few days. It was strange living a life like Alan Partridge. Get up have breakfast at the comfort hotel, spend the day at the show yabbering on, home to the comfort hotel and bed, then the same again the next day and the next day and the next day. Thank the lord for Cafe Rouge (next door to the comfort hotel) and their green salads, i wouldn't have been able to do it without you. What a treat to meet all those lovely people that appreciate the work and let you know that they love it!

The Knitting and Stitching show.

I'm sorry, but i've got a pregnancy brain and realised i didn't write up anything about this huge event! So Bill and I (with baby safely tucked in tummy) drove up to London laden with goodies to show and sell in our tiny Fiat Punto. Thank the lord for sat navs! It was fairly easy getting there and straight forward setting up, we had some good help from our dear friend Catherine and managed to put up a good display.

We're up and running again!

I've been so tardy, first of all we went on holiday and then we moved house, our broadband has only just been reconnected and so i'm back and trying to update my blog. We had an amazing holiday in Dorset, but had to come home early so that we could move house. Slightly stressful but all seems like a distant memory now.

The Knitting and stitching show!

Great news, i will be showing my work at the Knitting and Stitching show at Alexandra Palace from the 8th to the 11th of october http://www.twistedthread.com. I am extremely excited but also quite worried as i only have 3 months (less if accounting for framing) to make work. Sometimes i can spend 3 month on one piece! Will have to pull my finger out and get William working on all non crafty items. One of which is updating my website. I hope to have a new simpler website up and running in time for the show so watch this space. Sadly i won't be able to submit any work in the Westward Ho! and Bideford annual summer exhibtion as i need every little piece of work i can get my mitts on. I haven't been taking my camera out with me so i just thought i'd post a nice picture. Enjoy.

Happy Birthday Mimsy and Sophie

Just thought i would post a picture of this amazing cake made by Lucy for Mim and Sophs birthday. It tasted even better then it looked! It was a very intense and dense chocolate sponge.

Bovey Tracey

I'm sorry if i've been a bit tardy with updating my blog but have been so busy since we've got back. Allotment has gone mental, house viewings, working at the gallery and sorting out my own work leaves me with little time to do nice little things like writing this blog. Well Bovey was a great success, we sold lots of pictures and met lots of lovely peeps. Its lovely getting pats on the back. So many talented people down there in deepest darkest devon, i couldn't resist and ended up acquiring a lovely KEN EARDLEY jug http://www.yellowhouseart.com/artists/artists_info.asp?urn=58, a HANNE RYSGAARD milk carton http://www.blogger.com/www.hannerysgaard.com and an amazing piece of CLEO MUSSI'S WORK http://www.mussimosaics.co.uk/.
I didn't take any other photo's and im kicking myself now as there were so many good photo opportunities that i missed.

Red Shoes

Red Shoes and looking at my garden make me truly happy.

Craft inventory

I'm feeling slightly panicky now, only a week to go and my pics haven't come back from the framers yet. Went through my stock this morning, thinking i might have to sew some more brooches and baby cats. If you can't make it down to Bovey from the 5th to the 7th of June then you can buy them here.http://www.bonbiforest.com, go to shop and Victoria Lindo on the left hand side.

Ronaldo Moon. I got this quote off of a weird japanese cartoon about cats. I've been accepted as a full member of the Westward ho! and Bideford art society, i hope to submit some pieces of work into their summer exhibition in July, watch this space.

Exciting news

I'm going to be at crafts at Bovey Tracey! I applied last year and was accepted but had to decline as i had other commitments, those commitments fell through in April and so asked if there were any spaces left, there weren't. I had a email yesterday from them saying there had been a last minute cancellation and asking if i would like to fill the space. Yayyy, i'm so excited, look at their website here http://www.craftsatboveytracey.co.uk/

I love sewing trees. We saw this tree when we visited london in November.

Allotment. I try to remember what i planted where by making maps of my allotment.

Padstow and Truro trip

We just got back from a camping trip in cornwall. It rained a lot but it was fun. We saw the Obby Oss at Padstow and bill drummed in a samba carnival at truro. It was a hot day and our faces were red in the evening.
